Chromab.zip is a Matlab implementation of the chromatic aberration calculations described in
Matching
color images: the effects of chromatic aberration
Marimont and Wandell (December 1994). JOSA A, Vol. 11 Issue 12 Page
3113.
Peter Catrysse (peter@kaos.stanford.edu) wrote this Matlab implementation based on the first distribution.
We are planning to extend this code into a tool that calculates the wavelength-dependent distribution of light from various CRT and LCD sources. If you are interested in helping by (a) checking the code, or (b) adding LCD/CRT spectral calibration information, send us a message.
This distribution of chromatic aberration
software was designed and written by Dave Marimont, Brian Wandell and Xuemei
Zhang.
The programs are written in C and Matlab and we
have run them on Sun-Sparc (SunOS 4.1.3). Within the distribution, there are
README files describing the various programs.
We do not have the resources to help you install
and run the code. Of course, you may send me a message concerning the programs.
But, please don't be irritated if I don't reply quickly -- or ever. I will try
to post your e-mail message at this site in order to help anyone else who may
be using the programs.
Finally, we ask that you respect the GNU
Licensing properties of this code.
Regards,
Brian Wandell

form of a gzip'd tar file.
Please send a message to Brian Wandell if you download the software and
start using it. (Or, tell me how to write the html code that will automatically
keep track of the downloads.)
